Week 14/Developing Ads

Developing a Paid Presence on Facebook and Twitter

The ad process is different for Facebook and Twitter, Twitter has more of a step-by-step hand holding with broader objectives, while Facebook resembles more professional marketing platforms such as Google Adwords. I have chosen my objective for both ads as "engagement."

Twitter

Twitter has a more simple campaign space that is intuitive, but has less options than Facebook.

Step one of Twitter Ads provides simple targeting asking for the location and time zone of the poster.

Here I chose an engagement campaign and created an ad buy budget.

Here is where  I select one of my many tweets to boost.  Here I may chose to boost my "Fight for the Future" tweet, as there is a call-to-action to help fight for the relevant topic of net neutrality.

Facebook

This is the introduction to creating my Facebook ad where I also chose to drive "engagement."

Here is where I selected targeting for my ad by location, age, and demographics. I chose to target for locally, in an age block of folks that would be interested in running for office.  Since I will be promoting my recent interview, I have also chosen a target audience interested in "news media."

This is my final product.  It includes a nice visual, and a link to my interview through the "learn more" call to action.
