The Final
This class has been an educational introduction to the “not just for fun” side of social media. Having previous experience managing social media at the professional level, I was able to compare my past decisions to best practices currently implemented in social media for business. This semester I was able to explore new social media platforms, and expand my current knowledge of the sites I was already using. I would not say my entire perfection of social media has change, however, my understanding of certain platforms has changed. For example, I understand more how Google+, Pinterest, and Snapchat can be used for advertising. I had previously assumed that only LinkedIn/Facebook/Instagram were good business applications by their reputation, but also for their capacity to allow a consumer to “click through.” In truth, more platforms such as Snapchat, are a great way to maintain a clientele depending on the ideal demographics.
